Nordic Coast Line operates the three double-ended ferries – MS ”Vikare“,
MS ”Nestori“ and MS ”Nordic Duck“ – which are owned by the Finnish
government.

Since the summer of 2015, Nordic Coast Line has been operating the
Åland Islands routes, connecting the islands with the Finnish mainland.
The Åland Islands are situated between Finland and Sweden and are
an autonomous region of Finland. The region is exempted from sales
and excise taxes and is separated from the mainland by a customs border,
making duty-free shopping possible. Beside agriculture, tourism –
especially ferry traffic – has become an important sector of the local economy.
